The Investigations is responsible for investigating and following-up on many different crimes. The Bureau is comprised of the School Resource Officers (SRO), Criminal Investigation Detectives, and Evidence & Forensic services.
It is the mission of the Investigations Division is to provide investigative expertise and to work in partnership with the community and Department entities to enhance public safety. The Investigations Division is also committed to supporting local, state, federal and foreign law enforcement agencies to ensure a cooperative, successful and unified effort to protect and serve people in all communities worldwide.
The Criminal Investigations Division is currently commanded by Lieutenant Justin Hemingway – jhemingway@summitcounty.org
