Summit County, Utah (September 16, 2025) — The Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity and the Utah Women & Leadership Project selected Summit County as part of the Utah’s 100 Companies Championing Women 2025 cohort.
“Being named as one of Utah’s 100 Companies Championing Women is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to supporting women in our workforce and community,” Summit County Manager Shayne Scott said. “Summit County is proud of the talented, dedicated individuals working in our government and elected offices.”
This recognition highlights Summit County’s commitment and efforts to advance women in the workplace through policies that support mothers, caregivers, and leadership opportunities. Summit County joins a diverse group of Utah organizations recognized for their efforts to build stronger, more inclusive workplaces that empower women to succeed at every level.
These efforts, among others, include:
- Childcare support
- Paid parental leave
- Tuition reimbursement
- Flexible work schedules
- Newborns at work policy
In June of this year, Summit County was also recognized as one of The Best Place for Working Parents!® — Salt Lake, Summit and Wasatch County businesses leading the way in family-friendly policies.
Part of the Inspire In Utah initiative, 100 Companies Championing Women recognizes and highlights organizations across the state offering family-friendly policies and practices, as well as women-specific initiatives known to impact the recruitment, hiring, retention, and advancement of women employees, managers and leaders.
